Despite Saturday being a scrub day due to a layer of fog settling on the Lincolnshire flatlands, that didn’t stop the team working in and around the hangar for a good majority of the day. General maintenance, as well as ground training on the winch led by Webby made sure that despite the day being a disappointment, there was still a positive result for the team.
Following a trend, Sunday appeared to be the better with the team being blessed with blue skies. The team, led by Flt Lt Luke Dale and UoNGC member, Seb Krause, made a smooth days running for all those who attended. Despite the typical Mid-Winter weather preventing any soaring that we have seen over the past couple of weeks, a grand total of 77 winch launches were completed, with over 7 and a half hours flight time throughout the course of the day.
