A Raining Success
Saturday was a scorcher, with Angus Watson leading the instructing as Ewan Weston took control of the airfield. We welcomed a few trial flights and some younger trainees, who we hope to see progress through their flying careers very quickly. A massive well done to Ian Webb, who has spent his free time at the club dedicated towards the ground vehicles (and especially the winch) that are essential to our operations, on becoming an assistant instructor, as signed off by regional examiner Andy Mason.
Sunday brought along the other side of the coin. Occasional showers which resulted in frequent stop/start moments, eventually leading up to a full cease of operations. However, through the glumliness of the day was a shining success. Off Cdt Alex Myers was successfully sent solo and was presented with a difficult first flight, well negotiated no less!
